Nifty - 16th Jan 2012
From the above figure we can see that at lower levels a sudden drop in price leads on to a pull back rally. Although the pullback rally might or might not convert into a bullish trend, but it does move in the direction for some time. The effect of a good pullback reduces at higher levels, where a drop is continued and followed by a V shaped curve formation (Fri Jan 12).
A simple strategy could be to buy into
- sudden fall in stock (2-3 times the speed) followed by
- a drop in volatility and almost consolidation at the lower end of the first bearish candle.
- at support levels on the same time frame.
The above information can be correctly derived, only if we know whether we are closer to support or resistance. For example Wed Jan 11 could be considered a support or resistance. So on Thursday, if we are confused whether we are at Support or resistance, then we cannot take the right position.

Nifty - 8th Jan 2012
- Friday, Jan 6th surely meant a very bullish day with NIFTY moving up by 80 points in a few hours time.
- 4730 was broken as assumed but a strong bounce back occurred at 4690. This could either be because the volatility had to increase or because a 60 point fall in a few hours is too big to digest.
- 4780 proved as an effective resistance once more.
- As the end of day is volatile no clear direction should be assumed at opening.
- Jan 7th has opened with a fall of almost 70 points. 4780 is surely remaining unbroken today.
- A bear is lurking in the shadows below 4690.
- Also a day where level is maintained should mean an extremely bullish week coming up.
Let me know any stocks that you would like me to follow apart from Nifty. I will be happy to add on.

Nifty - 6th Jan 2012
- The index was in a short band of 4730 to 4780 touching 4780 twice.
- Although the stock fell 50 points to 4730, it did manage to pull back to 4750.
- The stock is not ready to cross the barrier of 4780 still.
- If the level of 4730 holds for 1 more day then breaking 4780 should be easy.
- Volatility can be expected to increase today. This could be problem as it would weaken 4730 as a support level i.e. the stock could still break 4780 in spite of going below 4730.
Important Levels
- 4730 - Support
- 4780 - Resistance
- 4755 - Most probable opening

Nifty - 5th Jan 2012
Observations
- The long term trend remains negative with support at 4500 and 4200.
- On the daily chart a support of 4530 and resistance of 5100 is present.
- The current band on the half hourly chart is 4600 to 4800.
- A break above 4800 should result in at least a 200 point rally, before any resistance.
- 4800 has already been tested twice as a strong resistance.
- The 3rd of Jan saw a opening gap up of 40 points followed by a 100 point rally till the end of day.
- 4th of Jan had a consolidation of at the top with a band of 4730 to 4780.
- The last hour on 4th of Jan saw a rise of 30 points and a fall of 20 points in a bullish pattern.
Important Levels
- 4730 - Strong support. If broken then 4780 will remain unbroken.
- 4780 - Any opening above this is a bullish over next few days
- 4750 - Most probable opening.
